Dodgy traders abusing autobid feature

Shill bidding, contact details in auctions… anything that’s not a scam per se but breaches TM’s terms and conditions.

Dodgy traders abusing autobid feature

I saw this thread on TMMB today Dodgy traders abusing autobid feature

Post #25 - I couldn't work, given the poster, if they were serious or trolling -
To me it seems possible that the buyer could be buying off the seller in the same house ligitimately - it could be a way to buy the item fairly; ie. at market price.

#18 - In this instance - the seller and the bidder involved in the shill-bidding both had separate vehicle listings and both listings had the same home phone number listed - when I phoned and spoke to the bidder he confirmed that I was able to talk to both seller and bidder at that phone number. ~ westhold (209)
If that's true then shill bidding would be obvious. However the auction mentioned (571913662) seems to be the only one where this has happened.
